2018 Winners Announced!
In celebration of the International Day of Forests, Arbor Day, and National Environmental Week, the Allegheny Forest Alliance invited photographers to share their best images of this “Land of Many Uses.” Their photos will help the AFA promote sustainable management of the ANF for a healthier forest and healthier host communities!
Entrant classes included Youth, Adult Amateur, and Professional. Photo categories included:
- Landscape & Wildlife – Photos of the ANF landscape, plants, and wildlife
- Forest Recreation – Photos of people enjoying the many recreation opportunities available on the ANF
- Sustainability & Biodiversity – Photos representing the sustainably managed forest and the biodiversity that it supports
- Working in the Forest – Photos of people at work on the ANF sustainably managing the forest, building or maintaining trails, restoring streams, planting trees, etc.
Cash prizes were awarded for First Place ($50) and Second Place ($25) in each class and category, as well as one Grand Prize ($100). Click HERE to see the winners of the 2018 Sustainable ANF Photo Contest.
